Guy Forrester established All Access Staging & Productions, Ltd. in 2009. Guy got his start in the industry working for Showlites alongside brother Clive. He moved to the USA touring as a ‘rack man’ with notable bands such as the Rolling Stones and David Bowie. However, while living in Dallas, TX, in the early 80s he got to know the guys across the car park at Showco who were developing an automated light. The opportunity to move back to Europe as one of a handful of board operators for Vari-Lite Europe was an opportunity not to be missed. Guy circled the globe with world-renowned artists including AC/DC, Wham!, Super Tramp, Pink Floyd, Janet Jackson, and more, continuing up the ranks as a lighting director on a number of tours before calling it a day. Guy then went on to take up operational roles for VLPS, Gearhouse S.A and Panalux for the next ten years before taking a step diagonally into the staging business – funnily enough, like many other lighting people – and now he is working with his brother again after 25 years.
Guy enjoys watching sports and spending time with his family. Guy’s words of wisdom for aspiring LDs, stage crew, and the like are “It’s a great industry to be in, that has grown for everyone’s benefit over the years, but make sure you enjoy it, as it needs 100% participation.”
